Skin Brigthening Coffee Facemask

You are lucky if you can function without coffee but a majority of us who can barely open their eyes without a cup of coffee each morning, coffee is the single most important thing after oxygen for a lot of people.

A cappuccino with double shot espresso is my preferred cup, and I make it well, but this blog isn’t about food or beverage recipes. It is about natural skincare and how we can create fantastic skincare products using items in our kitchen. In this blog, we will talk about the skincare benefits of coffee and how to use it.

It’s a rich source of antioxidants: The environment we live in is full of free radicals made up of pollution and dirt particles. These free radicals have an adverse effect on our skin. Due to its natural antioxidants properties, coffee protects the skin from harmful effects of free radicals.

It makes skin smooth and bright: Coffee contains qualities that signal tissue repair which can play be benifical in regulating cell re-growth, resulting in increased collagen and skin elasticity.

It enhances circulation: Coffee is known for its blood circulation properties, which helps keep our skin healthy and energized. Coffee also effectively reduces the swelling of tissues and can be used to de-puff certain areas of the skin.

Coffee is used in many beauty recipes for skin and hair. Coffee works excellently as a skin polisher and a depuffing treatment for puffy eyes.

Skin Brightening Coffee Face Mask:
This coffee mask is excellent for exfoliates the skin and helps reduce the puffiness as well. The mask is a must for the days when your skin looks tired and needs some brightening. Applying this mask in the morning will help awaken your skin and keep it glowing all day long.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp freshly ground coffee
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp whole milk, heavy cream, or yogurt
1 tbsp honey

Directions:
Mix all ingredients and apply a light coat to face for 5 minutes. Massage lightly in a circular motion and let it sit for another 5-10 minutes. Remove with a warm washcloth.
